A Roof Over Our Head - The Struggle To Secure Safe Housing For Trans and Gender Nonconforming Atlantans
A recent national survey revealed that 1 in 5 of all trans and gender non-conforming individuals have experienced homelessness, and most of them experience violence and rejection in the process. Right now, in Atlanta, over two percent of all trans or gender non-conforming individuals are homeless. How can we, as members of the beloved community respond to this? That is the question we'll be discussing in this brief presentation followed by Q & A and town hall discussion. Please join us!
*free and open to the public*
This event is hosted by SPEAK (Students Promoting Education through Activism and Knowledge) and is co-sponsored by the Sociology Club, Faces of Feminism, and the Women's Gender and Sexuality Studies Department.

o A. The Executive Committee is the first responsible party representing the organization. The Executive Committee oversees the implementation of the policies and procedures adopted by the membership.
o B. The Executive Committee will have the discretion to determine specific amounts of cash assistance and other assistance, including but not limited to, housing, transportation, rental , utility, and other assistance.”
